Dec 1    Alexis Bailly Tasting Room
40 years ago in June 1978, David Bailly made history and opened the first winery in Minnesota and released the first wines ever made in Minnesota. 

Starting Friday, March 30th, the winery will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Christmas 11:am - 5:30pm. You can join us in the Tasting Room to sample our wines, or pick up a light snack in our deli where we have a selection of meats and cheeses as well as some wonderful chocolates for your pleasure. Our deck and grounds are always available to our customers to enjoy a glass of wine and a picnic.

Dec 1    Victorian Holiday Tea at LeDuc

Join the Dakota County Historical Society at the LeDuc Historic Estate for a Victorian Holiday Tea!

Celebrate the holiday season with a three course meal with a variety of teas paired with your food. Live music will fill the house as you enjoy the food and learning about the history of Victorian Holidays and the LeDuc family. A special visitor will help share this fascinating part of history.

A tour of the house will be included after the final course.

Seating is limited, so reserve your spot today. For more information, contact the LeDuc Estate at 651-438-8480.

Dec 1    It's A Wonderful Life Play
On Christmas Eve in Bedford Falls, the guardian angel Clarence is assigned to convince the desparate George Bailey not to end his life.  George has spent his entire life giving of himself to his community.  He gave up his dream of traveling the world in order to run the modest building and loan company that his father started which keeps the rich skinflint Mr. Potter from owning the whole town.  George married his sweetheart Mary and had four children all who love him dearly.  On Christmas Eve, George's uncle Billy loses $8000 of his company's money on his way to deposit it, and it is found and stolen by Mr. Potter.  The bank examiner discovers the shortage and if George can't find the money he will be jailed, the business will collapse, and Mr. Potter will finally take over the town.  George realizes he is worth more dead than alive which brings him to contemplate suicide.  But the prayers of the people who love him reach heaven and Clarence is sent to help George as his chance to earn his wings.  Clarence shows George just what life would have been like in Bedford Falls without him.

40 years ago in June 1978, David Bailly made history and opened the first winery in Minnesota and released the first wines ever made in Minnesota. 

Starting Friday, March 30th, the winery will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Christmas 11:am - 5:30pm. You can join us in the Tasting Room to sample our wines, or pick up a light snack in our deli where we have a selection of meats and cheeses as well as some wonderful chocolates for your pleasure. Our deck and grounds are always available to our customers to enjoy a glass of wine and a picnic.

Have you ever wondered what bird banding is all about?  Bird Banding records can help us learn how long birds live, where they travel, when and where they migrate and many other interesting facts.  Carpenter Nature Center has been banding birds for over 30 years.  On the fourth Friday of the month bird banding is open to the public. 
There is no program fee, but donations of Bird Seed and Suet are greatly appreciated.
