Donna Mickelson Mathiowetz, from Unfinished by Design of Hastings, MN, has been helping others deal with their grief and loss for over 3 decades. Donna recently published a new book in the form of a guided journal called, “A Journal for Your Journey: A Trip Without Regard to the Amount of Time It Takes”. Donna’s knowledge of grief and loss was born out of her own life experiences. She educates others as she shares her story in grief support groups, women’s groups, churches, schools and business settings.
Attendees will have the chance to listen to Donna share about her own story of overcoming loss and how this fostered her passion of helping others. Donna will share insights to help you navigate various types of grieving and loss in life resulting from the death of a loved one, health issues, loss of a job, loss of independence, broken dreams, future plans and other life events.
In it you will learn valuable and practical insights that will help you cope with loss in your life and be better equipped to help others as well. We urge you to invite friends and family from Hastings and surrounding communities to attend.

| Experience #SUP on Lake St. Croix at the confluence of the St. Croix and Mississippi Rivers! Class size is limited and registration is required for all SUP programs; participants must be 14-plus years old and able to swim. All minors must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them. All equipment is provided by Prescott Paddle. Dress for the weather and water activity. In the case of inclement weather, class could be cancelled due to unsafe conditions including rain, high winds, or lightning, in which case class will be cancelled and a refund/credit issued. Have you ever wondered what bird banding is all about? Bird Banding records can help us learn how long birds live, where they travel, when and where they migrate and many other interesting facts. Carpenter Nature Center has been banding birds for over 30 years. On the fourth Friday of the month bird banding is open to the public.
There is no program fee, but donations of Bird Seed and Suet are greatly appreciated.

We are located in the west end of Hastings, one block off Highway 55 onto Pleasant Drive. Lots of parking space right on the site so you will be close to the open air sales area.
We open at 8 a.m. so come early for the best selection and we do operate thru rain...bring your umbrella.
