Cold weather has arrived. In this course, you will learn to appreciate the beauty and aromas of tea as well as learn about the making to tea. Ingredients will be supplied to create your own blends. Jan 21    State of the City address
PUBLIC INVITED TO STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS
The City of Hastings, along with the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau, will host the State of the City address on Wednesday, January 21st, 2015, from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. in the City Council chambers of City Hall.  Mayor Paul Hicks will deliver the State of the City address to enlighten residents on the City’s accomplishments from the past year, along with sharing the goals and planning in store for 2015. 

The event is open to the public.  Coffee and rolls will be served.  For those who are unable to attend, the event will be broadcast live on KDWA 1460AM and Hastings Community Television, Channel 14.

Mark your calendar and reserve the evening of Tuesday, January 27, 2015 for the Hastings Area Chamber's Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner.  The dinner will be held at the Hastings Country Inn.

Jan 30    Scotch Tasting at the LeDuc Historic Estate
LeDuc's Burns Nigh Scotch Tasting. At 7 p.m. the bagpipes will be playing as we once again embark on a tasting of some fantastic single malt scotches. Robert Burns, "once upon a time" poet laureate of Scotland, will be celebrated as the lover of scotch that he was.
